Meharry Medical College
Ms Anna Cherrie Epps, Ph.D.
The Spirit of A Place Called Meharry I am delighted to introduce to you , an institution that I believe to be critical to the future of America's health. Founded in Nashville, Tennessee, in 1876 to train former slaves and the children of slaves to practice the healing arts among a black population ravaged by untreated diseases, Meharry continues to wear proudly its heritage of providing exemplary education and training in the health sciences primarily for promising African Americans and other under-represented ethnic minority students.

Morris College
Mr Luns C. Richardson
wish to extend a warm welcome to the prospective students, donors and other constituents who have chosen to view this Morris College Web Site. To our prospective students, I invite you to explore all parts of the site, and I hope that it will prompt you to want to visit the actual site of our campus in Sumter, South Carolina and meet some of the faculty, staff and students who make Morris the exciting place for teaching and learning that it is. To our prospective donors, I extend the same invitation and hope that a visit will move you from being a prospective donor to becoming an actual donor. To the many alumni who are active donors but who haven't been back to the campus for at least ten years, you will be surprised at the growth that has taken place in campus facilities, and you will be pleased to see for yourself just how your gifts have been used. My thanks to all of those who have helped make the Morris College story a truly significant story of success.
