Fayetteville State University

Fayetteville State University (FSU) was cited as one of 20 schools nationwide that create a campus culture that fosters student success. This list was compiled in order to identify diverse institutions that do a good job of educating students. The listing of colleges appeared in the August 29, 2005 edition of USA Today.
Fisk University

Extraordinary Future… • In proportion to enrollment, a greater percentage of Fisk graduates achieve the Ph.D. degree than the minority graduates of any other U.S. college or university. • According to a survey conducted by The Princeton Review of 100,000 students Fisk University was listed among the top 345 colleges in the nation. • Fisk is in the top 10 percent of colleges and universities nationally whose graduates go on to earn a Ph.D. in the sciences.
Florida Agriculutural and Mechanical (A&M)

The campus is comprised of 131 buildings and has a current operating budget of over $210,000,000. Florida A&M University student enrollment population consists primarily of undergraduates (students enrolled at the lower division). The University offers 62 bachelor’s degrees in 103 majors/tracks. 36 master’s degrees with 56 majors/tracks are offered within eleven of the University’s 13 schools and colleges. Two professional degrees and eleven PhD degree programs are offered.

Born at the end of the nineteenth century with a mission to be of service to the African American population, the University has enhanced that role as it has taken on the wider mission to be of service to all Georgians.
